Help and contact
Answers to what people actually write in about. If yours is not here, email us — it is a small team and a real person reads it.

Crisis help comes first
IronWill is a self-help tool, not treatment, and it is not the right thing to reach for in an emergency. If you are thinking about harming yourself, please contact a crisis service now: 988 in the US and Canada, 111 then option 2 in the UK, or the directory at findahelpline.com, which covers most countries. If porn use is seriously damaging your life, a therapist who works with compulsive sexual behaviour will help more than any app, ours included.
How do I cancel my IronWill Pro subscription?
Cancel through the store you bought it from, not through the app. On iPhone: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → IronWill → Cancel Subscription. On Android: open the Play Store → tap your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → IronWill → Cancel. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are issued by Apple and Google, not by us — we have no ability to charge or refund your card. For iOS, use reportaproblem.apple.com. For Android, use the Play Store order history or play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory. If the request is refused and you think it was unfair, write to us and we will support your case with whatever detail helps.
I paid for Pro but the app still shows the free tier.
Open Settings in the app and use Restore Purchases, making sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account or Google account that made the purchase. This is the fix in almost every case, because entitlements are tied to the store account rather than to the device. If it still does not appear after a restore and an app restart, email us with the store receipt and we will sort it out.
The website blocker is not blocking anything on Android.
Android needs the accessibility service switched on, and some phones switch it back off. Check three things in order: that IronWill appears under Settings → Accessibility → Installed apps and is enabled; that battery optimisation is disabled for IronWill, because aggressive power saving on Xiaomi, Samsung, Oppo and Huawei devices kills the service silently; and that the browser you are testing with is a normal browser rather than one with its own VPN or proxy. After changing any of these, force-stop the browser and try again.
The website blocker is not blocking anything on iPhone.
IronWill uses Apple’s Screen Time content filter, so Screen Time permission must be granted to IronWill. Open the blocker screen in the app and re-run the setup; iOS will show its own permission sheet. If Screen Time is managed by someone else — a parent, a school, or an MDM profile from an employer — the app cannot install a filter and iOS will refuse the request. A restart after granting permission resolves most remaining cases.
Can I move my streak to a new phone?
Not automatically. IronWill has no account by design, which is what keeps your logs private, and the cost of that choice is that nothing syncs between devices. Before switching phones, note your streak start date; on the new device, use Settings → Set streak start to enter it, and the counter picks up where it was. Your Pro subscription does transfer — use Restore Purchases.
How do I change the app’s language?
Settings → Language. IronWill is translated into 27 languages and the AI coach replies in whichever one you have selected, independently of your phone’s system language.
The AI coach says something went wrong on every message.
A failure on every single message, rather than an occasional one, usually means the app build cannot pass its integrity check rather than that the coach is down. Update to the latest version from the store and try again. If you are running a build you compiled yourself, that check will keep failing until the build is registered. Occasional failures are usually just connectivity — the coach is the one part of IronWill that needs the internet.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. Everything personal — streaks, check-ins, journal entries, trigger logs — lives in a database on your own device and goes with it. There is no server-side profile to erase because there is no account. See the privacy policy for the anonymous analytics and crash data that is the only exception.
Reporting a bug or asking for a feature
Both go to the same address. Bugs are most useful with the steps that triggered them and your device and app version, which the app fills into the subject line automatically when you use Settings → Contact Us. Feature requests genuinely do get read — several things now in the app started as one.
Press and partnerships
Also andevstudioth@gmail.com. If you are writing about the app, the comparison page lists the store figures we publish and the dates they were checked, and we will tell you where IronWill is weaker than its rivals if you ask.
